Travel Expense Allowance

Maximum allowance per company / startup
A one-off travel expense allowance of up to €750 per company is available. The allowance covers travel costs only for attendance at the SYSTEMEU Summit 2026 in Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Funding is capped at a maximum of 5 startups under this call.

01 Eligible expenses

The allowance may be used for travel costs only. The following items are eligible:

02 Participation conditions

To receive the allowance, participants confirm full attendance at the SYSTEMEU Summit programme (22–25 June), participation in the pitch competition and, where applicable, panel sessions, by signing the travel allowance agreement.

Meals are included for startups and stakeholders from all regions (confirmed with Summit organisers). Official catering schedule:

Welcome Dinner / Cocktail Dinner included

Welcome dinner and cocktail for Summit participants (Srebrenik Fortress).

23 Tue · Jun

Ecosystem Immersion & Innovation Academy Lunch + Dinner

Lunch and dinner / cocktail included. Ecosystem visits in Tuzla and Innovation Academy in the afternoon.

24 Wed · Jun

Summit Opening — Official Opening Lunch + Dinner

Lunch and dinner / cocktail included. Thematic panels (Healthcare, Energy, Mobility), pitch competition and evening programme. Pitch participation is required to receive the allowance.

25 Thu · Jun

Startups & Matchmaking Lunch included

Lunch included (lunch only on this day). Startup panels, matchmaking and project idea pitches.

All programme events are free of charge. Meals covered by the organiser follow the schedule above; meals outside that schedule are not reimbursable under the travel allowance.

03 Settlement and payment

Payment will be processed once all of the following conditions are met:

The travel expense allowance agreement for the Bavaria delegation (Startups) is signed and available in digital format.
All invoices and receipts (flight, train, public transport, taxi if applicable, accommodation, etc.) are submitted in a single PDF file including the original ticket/receipt and proof of payment (card statement or bank transfer).
The full address of the company or startup and a contact person are provided as required.
A valid German bank account (IBAN) is provided for the transfer.

Agreement to sign: The travel allowance agreement will be sent by email once you have been selected (or notified otherwise) for the programme. Check your inbox (and spam folder) after the outcome is communicated.

Important: Invoices must relate exclusively to travel to the Tuzla Summit. Separate meal expenses are not accepted: event catering covers dinner (22 Jun), lunch and dinner (23–24 Jun), and lunch (25 Jun) as confirmed by the organisers.
