Consortium-Building (SystemEU Regions)
The strongest consortium-building opportunities actually emerged earlier in Salamanca through SystemEU:
Valladolid Region – CARTIF
– Healthtech partner with strong experience in elderly-tech
– Interest in extending COBY’s emotional-tech framework to loneliness & daily adaptation for elderly adults
Braga Region – UMinho + P5 Telemedicine
Participants:

– P5 Telemedicine
Early concept:
A cross-regional pilot combining
– COBY → plush device + emotional AI
– CARTIF → research on applying COBY’s routines to elderly support
– P5 → distribution access + integration with their telemedicine system
The idea is still early, but promising: COBY’s platform can extend far beyond children, and a shared consortium study could demonstrate impact on loneliness, wellbeing, and daily routines in older adults.
We believe this could evolve into a lighthouse project for SystemEU.
